About me

Profile Image

Hello! I'm Jennifer, a certified k-6 teacher who has transitioned into Web Development. I enjoy creating things that live on the internet and turning problems into beautiful designs. I primarily focus on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. While I love development and design, I'm also comfortable using back-end tech including NodeJS, Express and MongoDB.

Transitioning to tech has enabled me to continue my lifelong passion for learning and embrace my status as a forever student. I love to work as part of a dynamic team and find the challenges that programming brings very exciting.

Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:

  • ‣ HTML
  • ‣ Node.js
  • ‣ CSS
  • ‣ Express.js
  • ‣ BootStrap
  • ‣ MongoDB
  • ‣ JavaScript
  • ‣ React
  • ‣ jQuery

The Tasty Burger

A restaurant app that allows the user to order the burger they’d like to eat. When the user submits a burger’s name, the app will display the burger on the left side of the page, waiting to be devoured. When the order is ready, the burger will move to the right side of the page. This app will store every burger in a database, whether devoured or not.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, MySQL, Heroku, Handlebars
